WHEN TO BOOK SERIES - JUNE
To be honest June is a completely over looked month when it comes to photography sessions which is a bit of a shame cause there are many great qualities in the midwest for this first official month of summer!
START OF SUMMER
Who doesn't want to get out and celebrate that it is finally warm enough to be outside without 17 layers on! I know I cannot wait to get out there, camera in hand every chance I get! With that, this is a great month for family photographs because it isn't overly hot and humid! My favorite location to use in June is downtown since the heat of the concrete and asphalt make it about the perfect temp and we can get a ton of different shots.
THINGS TO CONSIDER IN JUNE
The downfall to June and most likely why it isn't booked as much as July through October is everything is a fresh bright green which can be a bit distracting to you photos. For this reason I recommend using buildings or other elements as the focal point to your photos in addition to you of course! As a photographer we can tone down the green quite a bit, but something to keep in mind when working on the perfect location.
